Overview
Nomad was a concept for a mobile app to help people find and share real places — hidden beaches, mountain hikes, museums, the restaurant locals actually go to. Everything on it would come from the community: photos, videos and opinions from people who had genuinely been there.

Challenge
Travel guides and review apps had drifted a long way from being useful. What surfaces first is what paid to be there or what performed well, and the social apps people fell back on optimise for the profile rather than the place. The thing you actually want to know — is this worth my Saturday — is buried under all of it.

Solution
So the design put the place at the centre and the person to one side. Each post is a snapshot of a real moment; you can rate and review, like and comment, and follow people whose taste matches yours — but the unit is the plan, not the profile. Personalised filters and location search do the rest, so what you get back matches your mood and your city instead of an ad budget.

Nomad aimed to be the place you go when you want to experience somewhere properly. Not just where to go — what it feels like to be there.
